Post 2 : The Italian Car Culture

Ferrari,Lamborghini,Maserati. These are few names known in Italian automotive industry. When you see one of those running on the road, you can't help but to stare and be amazed on what you see. Even if you're a vehicle enthusiast or not, you can still appreciate the beauty that it is stored in every Italian automobile you see.

While conducting a research about the different automobile cultures around the world. Well,i thought that only Americans had this automobile culture but i was proven wrong. Automobile culture gave different impact around the globe.   Americans may see automobiles as a means of transportation but for the Italians, it is a different story. Beautiful ad awesome machines that will really capture your heart are the Italians' thing.

I read an article wrote by Glauco Ferrari entitiled: Italian Sports Car saying that Italians carefully paid attention from the big to the small details of each sports car they manufacture. The sports car they manufacture were not known for its enormous power and amazing quality but also for its style. I admit, sports car that were made in Italy were really cool and unique in style.

There is an expression mentioned in Mr.Glauco Ferrari's article that "Germans make the best cars, but Italians make the best car."

I like what Mr. Glauco Ferrari quoted in his article because Italy can produce one best car that can overpower all the best cars that the Germans can produce. It is always quality over quantity. Italian men are passionate in their automobiles that the car was more important than their loved ones.Italian drivers are known as the most aggressive drivers in the world. Well, if you own a really fast sports car, you can't help but to broke atleast one of the traffic rules and regulations in a city. And catching these ill-disciplined drivers can't be that hard since the police also uses sports car to catch overspeeding drivers on the road.

Each country has it's own automobile culture. And we should respect one's culture because that is part of their identities.

Post 1:The American Style

Going from one place to another is hard. Especially when the distance has been multiplied quite a few times. Good thing automobiles were invented so that travelling from one place to another can be convenient. But what does automobiles can do? Does it simply transport a person from one place to another? Or does it have any other purpose? Of course, all things exists with a purpose and it's primary purpose is for transportation. But how did automobiles affected our lives?

The first automobile were invented in 1807 by a French inventor, Gustave Trouve. But the first automobiles created were just used only for transportation. After the World War 2, major changes were experienced in the field of automobile designing especially in America. In 1950, The American automobile culture had a greati influence on the culture of the United States. At the end of World War 2,Manufacturers in America switched from producing War goods to consumer goods and the automotive industry in America was introduced. The United States were the largest manufacturer of automobiles in the world.

While looking for evidences to support this research, i found an article talking about the society in the 1950s. Automobile production became a major hit after World War 2 and consumers are encouraged to buy the latest models once a year and scrap the old ones. As the production of automobile increases every year, the demand on roads and highways also increases. With this problem, The United States invested in infrastractures such as highways and bridges throughout the country, allowing the people to live beyond the city limits. Land developers began to buy land outside the city and developed affordable houses for people who want to live outside the city. At the end of the 1950s, one-third of Americans lived outside the city.

Americans spend more time and money in their automobiles and they view it as part of their identities. Automobile culture became part of their lives that it became the reflections of their lifestyle. The automobile culture gave great convenience to the people that it gave the business industry new ideas on how to serve their products to the people without leaving their automobiles. Automobile culture even influenced movies and television shows. The Automobile culture gave a big impact in the American Culture that Driving customized cars in a specially made road became a spectator sport.

In conclusion, automobile culture made a huge impact in everyone's lives. Imagine our lives if automobiles were never invented. It will give us a hard time to go to school, considering the distance of it from your home. It gave us freedom, convenience, comfort and saves us a lot of time. Whether you deny it or not, we use automobiles everyday and it is a part of our daily lives.
